🧠 I’m a cognitive neuroscientist exploring how the brain processes and integrates sensory information—and how these processes adapt in the face of sensory deprivation or neurological conditions. My work has focused on crossmodal plasticity in individuals who are blind from birth or who have lost their sight later in life, using behavioural (psychophysics) and neuroimaging methods (MEG, fMRI).
🔍 More recently, I’ve begun investigating how cognitive and perceptual processes are shaped by individual differences in personality, beliefs, and traits, an exciting new direction that bridges neuroscience and human variability.
🎙️ I’m passionate about science communication and making research accessible beyond academic circles.
♿ I’m particularly interested in how research can inform and reshape public discourse around disability.
🌈 I also actively advocate for diversity and inclusion, both in my professional environment and through the lens of my research.
