We are three psychologists based at universities in and around Liverpool, UK. We explore how people experience and understand the world — especially beyond sight.
We study perception, communication, learning, social understanding, and everyday experience across the lifespan, with a particular focus on blind and partially sighted people, people who have recovered sight, and the wider sighted community.
Alongside our research, we work closely with local communities, schools, charities, artists, and visually impaired community members to challenge misconceptions about blindness and visual impairment and encourage more inclusive conversations.
Through documentaries, art exhibitions, public events, panel discussions, surveys, and workshops, we aim to create spaces where visually impaired and sighted people can share perspectives, learn from one another, and rethink what it means to experience the world beyond sight.
